It is a universal surplus manager and totally independent of the source that generates them (whether they come from photovoltaic and/or wind generation).
In this way it is possible to take better advantage of the surpluses, that is, the energy produced by our renewable sources and that we are not using, towards a resistive load (for example: resistance of an electric water heater).
Although the main objective of FreeDS is to be universal, it also has integrations with some solar inverters (Hardware Compatibility), which gives even more versatility to the project.
FreeDS system features:
- Universality: It adapts to different measurement systems, so it can be used in any electrical generation system.
- Versatility: There are a variety of hardware configurations, from pre-built boards to low cost user-assembled models.
- Scalable: several managers can be used in the same installation by having master to slave modes available.
