This is the first official release of SPIERS 3.X following two release candidates. The following has been changed since the last v3.0.0-rc.1
SPIERSalign
- Linux builds can now be launched by double clicking the binary.
- Registry locations modified.
SPIERSedit:
- Linux builds can now be launched by double clicking the binary.
- Error in curve interpolation on Linux fixed.
- Zoom error loading zoom now fixed.
- .spe file version changed to 3.
- Registry locations modified.
- Bug fixes and code tidying.
SPIERSview:
- Linux builds can now be launched by double clicking the binary.
- Progress bars correctly reset on export, and file extensions automatically added to all files.
- ... and several more minor bug fixes and code tidying.
SPIERSversion (utility):
- No changes.
SPIERS common files (used by all programs):
- No changes

Linux
Build instructions are included in the readme. Any Linux users interested in a package are encouraged to contact palaeoware@gmail.com so we can assess demand.
Windows
A zip containing all required binaries can be downloaded from the assets above. Alternatively an installer is provided. See notes below:
Note 1: the .zip archive contains all SPIERS programs (SPIERSalign, SPIERSedit, and SPIERSview). The .zip can be extracted and the programs run by double clicking the .exe files in the ./bin folder. All the required libraries have been included and are found in the ./bin folder.
Note 2: The windows installer will not overwrite any pre-existing SPIERS <= v2.21 installations. However, it will set the default program for all SPIERS files (.spe, .spv, .sp2, .spf, and .vaxml) to to use the newly installed version.
Mac
Not currently provided as the Palaeoware team don't have access to a Mac with VTK installed. If you happen to be in a position to help, please do get in touch.
