In life, people are not so linear in their goals. Goals in real life can change over time whether or not you achieve them. There are many situation in which an event you were once working against becomes a goal of yours. Some examples include, but are not limited to sports players switching teams, voters changing their party affiliation, and kids who want more noisy parties becoming adults who want less noisy parties. If game theory ever hopes to be analyze these types of events, there must be some developed system for which games can switch sides.
