This project is an Excel-based Sales Performance Dashboard designed to provide a comprehensive overview of a company's sales data. The dashboard offers insights into various aspects of sales, including trends over time, sales by geographic region, customer segmentation, and product performance. It is an essential tool for understanding business performance and making data-driven decisions.
Sales Trends:
Tracks sales performance over time (monthly and yearly). Identifies peaks and troughs in sales activity, helping to optimize marketing and operational strategies.
Sales by State:
Visualizes sales distribution across different states. Helps identify high-performing regions and areas with potential for growth.
Sales by Segmentation:
Analyzes sales by customer segments, such as Consumer, Corporate, and Home Office. Provides insights into which customer groups generate the most revenue.
Product Share:
Breaks down sales by major product categories such as Furniture, Office Supplies, and Technology. Highlights which product lines are the top performers.
Sales by Sub-Categories:
Delves deeper into sales within product categories by exploring sub-categories like Chairs, Tables, Storage, and more. Helps in understanding the performance of specific products.
The project uses a detailed sales dataset with the following fields:
Order ID: Unique identifier for each sales transaction.
Order Date: The date of the transaction.
Customer Information: Includes customer ID, name, and segment.
Product Information: Contains product ID, name, category, and sub-category.
Sales Data: Includes sales amount, region, and state, helping to map out sales performance across different regions.
The dataset is organized to enable easy analysis of both individual transactions and aggregated sales data.
Trend Analysis: Shows how sales fluctuate over time, identifying seasonal trends and opportunities for growth.
Geographical Analysis: Provides a clear view of how sales are distributed across different states and regions.
Customer Segmentation: Helps to prioritize marketing efforts towards high-revenue customer groups.
