The IG Index Trader service provides an alternative interface to the IG Index platform for managing positions. It is:
- Fast. The service uses minimalist html pages to view information so there is no overhead loading the pages other than bandwidth (and the speed with which the IG Index REST API responds).
- Execution. The service provides one-click trading with assumptions built in to speed up execution.
The accounts screen provides a view of all your accounts on IG Index. This will typically only consist of the spread-betting and CFD accounts.
The instruments screen allows you to locate any and all instruments available on the IG Index platform. You can search from the home page by category or locate the instrument you are interested in using the search box.
The positions screen allows you to see the current positions you have open and history of any recent activity on the account. Importantly it shows profit and loss for all positions!
Individual positions can be selected by clicking on the deal identifier. The full details of the position can be viewed along with the ability to close or reduce the position.
