Here is a Bug in the python library where the conversion from utm to lat lon in southern hemisphere does not work. In the CPP geodesy::UTM code there is a conversion where 10000000 is subtracted from the northings which correctly places the lat lon in southern hemisphere.
This fixes that for the python library which only correctly outputs for northern hemisphere
