Dead time correction

Olivier Scholder edited this page Dec 1, 2017 · 1 revision

The dead time correction is for the Poisson statistics and due to the fact that the detector cannot read any new event during a given dead-time after each occurence.

I_{\rm{corr}}(c) = -N\log\left(1-\frac{I(c)}{N'(c)}}\right)

where N = Nscan × width × height

N'(c) = N - \sum_{c'=c-ct}^{c-1}I(c')
