I forgot to explicitly mention: #3 removed the cidarticle.pdf

  1. generated files should not be versioned with git
  2. binary files should not be versioned with git
  3. Generating the pdf in different environments leads to different PDF files
  4. The PDF is uploaded to the gh-pages branch automatically.

OK, I could exclude it from the files-changed check...

The PDF will be available at https://sieversMartin.github.io/CID/cidarticle.pdf - if you enable gh-pages for the repository in the settings.

See https://gi-ev.github.io/LNI/lni.pdf for the same behavior of the LNI template. In the long run, there should be a "real" homepage. See gi-ev/LNI#142 for a proposal.

Okay, I enabled gh-pages and removed the pdf from versioning.
