I'm Yoav,

I've spent the last 20 years in startups as a lead engineer inventing key technologies and systems at various small and unicorn startups. Millions of people use software I wrote every day to earn a living. I also spent a few years as an engineering manager mentoring junior managers and engineers from apprentice to staff+.

I'm now sort-of-retired and run a startup lab Blackboard Technologies Inc. (https://blackboard.sh) where I'm building all the ideas I've accumulated over the years, and spend time helping founders of all kinds get started.

I open source the tooling and frameworks I've developed under MIT licenses and build as much capability into them as I can so everyone can be empowered to build and ship like I do.

My active open source projects currently include:

• Electrobun (https://electrobun.dev): Build ultra fast, tiny, and cross-platform desktop apps with Typescript.
• Eggbun (https://eggbun.sh): A new breed of code editor mixed with a browser to bring code and NoCode into the same environment. [Currently being rewritten on Electrobun and open sourced]
• GoldfishDB: A document database with typescript schemas, data migrations, and inferred document types designed for iterating fast that doesn't need a build step. [Powers the Eggbun Beta desktop app, Currently in the process of open sourcing]

I'm bootstrapping the startup studio and prefer to write code instead of putting on the business hat so the more my open source work is sponsored the more time and energy I can spend maintaining these open source projects and the more projects I can open source for the community.
