Summary

First release for Wagyu Installer. It can be used to setup a machine for running an Ethereum validator.

This release is not production ready. Even if it could lead to a fully functional validator setup on Mainnet, we do not recommend you use it for that use case. This release is meant for testing by people who know what they are doing. We recommend using a fresh installation of Ubuntu 20.04 Desktop to try this.

How to use

On Ubuntu 20.04 Desktop

Download the Wagyu.Installer-0.6.0.AppImage asset, make it executable and launch it from your desktop environment, often by double clicking on it, or from your terminal.

It might work on other Debian derivatives, but they were not tested. On Ubuntu 22.04 Desktop, you might need to install libfuse2 first before running the AppImage asset with something like:

sudo add-apt-repository universe
sudo apt install libfuse2

Binaries

Our binaries and bundles are signed with our Wagyu PGP key: E4BD8F0BA028F8816C9A5599B828200C4DDFCB11 .
