Beta firmware that fixed the frequency input issue
Before flashing any firmware, be aware you may lose all saved channels. You can 'zeroize' the channel settings ('5' on the keypad) to get back to sane defaults.
I think you should be able to flash test152.ino.bin by holding the squelch button (under the PTT) during boot. This should bring you to the upgrade menu. Selecting Upgrade from this 'boot' menu (in scare quotes because it's actually part of the firmware) should allow you to flash the firmware over some kind of wifi interface, maybe with the android app or the official CPS. I haven't had much luck that way but I'm not installing a random APK and didn't have any luck running the CPS in a VM.
If after this your radio is not working or corrupted - don't panic, it's fixable.
Open an issue and we'll sort it out. As I said, I don't flash mine the way mentioned above. The ESP32 has a bootloader that is nigh unbrickable. To boot into this, you hold the '9' on the keypad while holding the power button (push down on the encoder knob). You can then let go of the 9 but must hold the power button to keep the radio on while in the bootloader. You can then flash the firmware by compiling from the Arduino IDE.
More to come on that front. Open discussions on github to talk about what works and what doesn't.
