This is the repository containing the code and data used for the paper "Introducing site selection flexibility to technical and economic onshore wind potential assessments: new method with application to Indonesia" by Langer et al. (2022)

The project aims to examine a possible correlation between the onshore wind expansion as part of the ongoing energy transition AND voting behavior on municipality level representing the local political orientation. Average wind speeds and land use patterns are also recognized and included in the analysis.
