before this commit, invalid unstructured grid lead to crash. the only removed check are completely trivials and should not impact compute time.

This PR fixes the Contour & Merge tree module:
before this commit, invalid unstructured grid lead to crash. The only removed checks are completely trivials and should not impact compute time.
