Most likely, when you onboarded with another wallet you either used social
authentication, ledger
, or mnemonic (seed phrase)
to derive your account. All of these are fully supported by Umami wallet.
Check out the account types section of the Wiki to learn more about different account types.
- Onboard with Google social authentication, using the same account.
- Opt for "I already have a wallet" from the onboarding menu.
- Then, select the relevant section of the onboarding menu and follow the steps.
- Make sure to select the same derivation path you used previously with this account
You have an option to export your secret key
.
1. Click on the "key" icon next to your account
2. Enter your wallet password at the bottom
-
Click the "Show" button
-
Copy the secret key to the corresponding field in Umami
- Choose for "I already have a wallet" from the onboarding menu.
- Select the Ledger option in the onboarding menu and follow the instructions.
- Ensure you select m/44'/1729'/0'/0'/?' as the derivation path (available in the dropdown menu). That way, the ledger account added to Umami uses m/44'/1729'/0'/0'/0, matching Galleon's setup. (See details here)
- Once your Ledger account is accessible in Umami, delegation should also be visible.
- Simply onboard with the
social
account you use in Kukai 🙂
You can migrate your Temple account to either a seed phrase
or a secret key
Umami account.
In both cases you'll need to set a password. However, only the seed phrase
option allows you to derive more than 1 account out of the same seed phrase (mnemonic).
The process is similar for both. We'll go through the mnemonic one:
1. Open your wallet settings
2. Click "Reveal Seed Phrase"
3. Enter your password & click "Reveal"
4. Click on the seed phrase field to reveal it. Copy your seed phrase and derivation path.
- Open Umami, onboard with an existing wallet and click the "Import with Seed Phrase" button.
