内田・備瀬・Iwana・末廣研新人課題

English follows Japanese.
研究を本格的に始める前の準備として行う，新人課題です．
2024年4月26日（金）を締め切りとします．

内容

以下の5つのコースを準備しました．

1. 画像処理の基礎
2. 医用画像識別
3. 時系列識別
4. 文字画像解析
5. 国際会議論文サーベイ

画像処理やpythonを用いたプログラミングに自身の無い方は「1. 画像処理の基礎」を推奨します．どちらも余裕という方は，2～5のいずれかを選択してください（もちろん複数やってもらってもOKです）．

LaTeX について

課題の内容はLaTeXを用いてまとめ，pdfで提出することを基本とします．

エディタについて

研究室の多くのメンバーがオンラインで編集できるOverleafを使用しています．
ローカルで編集する場合は，TeXstudio，TeXworks，VSCodeなどを使う人が多いです．
参考テンプレートとしてtex_template.zipを置いています（別のテンプレートを使ってもらっても構いません）．

提出先

週報グループのM2以上の学生にメールで提出してください．(メールアドレスは各自で聞いてください)

参考資料

Google colaboratoryを用いて深層学習を使う際に参考になる資料をReferencesディレクトリに置いています（備瀬先生が作ってくださいました）．

メール送信時の注意

皆さん既にご存知だとは思いますが，メール送信時の一般的な注意点を書いておきます．

• わかりやすい件名をつけましょう（「新人課題の提出（氏名）」など）
• メール1行目には宛名を書きましょう
• 教員であれば〇〇先生（「～へ」は付けない，「～教授」のような役職呼びは失礼な場合もある）
• それ以外の場合は〇〇様（特に外部の方）か〇〇さん（先輩など）
• 宛名の後にコロン（：）やカンマ（，）をつける場合もあります（英語メールの場合必須）
• 1行空けて3行目に自分の名前と必要に応じて挨拶（研究室内メールでは不要） （「お世話になっております」が一般的ですが内部メールでは研究室や企業ごとにローカルルールがあったりするようです）
• 最後に署名をつけましょう（メーラーの自動署名でokです）
• 相手（特に目上の方）からのメールには基本的に返信しましょう（お礼などごく簡単なものや，メーリスへの一斉送信を除く）
• レポートや論文を見てもらう場合，添付ファイルのファイル名には名前と日付を書きましょう
  　→ 卒論・修論時期になると教員は十数人×修正回数分の論文を抱えることになります．「修士論文.pdf」とだけ書かれたファイルが送られても管理できません．

If you are not familiar with image processing or python programming, we recommend that you take 1. Basics of Image Processing. Otherwise, choose any of 2–5.

The paper of this assignment should be written in LaTeX and submitted in pdf format.

Many members of our lab use Overleaf for online editing.
If you want to edit locally, you can use TeXstudio, TeXworks, VSCode.
We have uploaded tex_template.zip as a template (you can use another template if you like).

Reference materials for Google colab

Reference materials for using deep learning in Google colaboratory are available in the References directory (created by Prof. Bise).

Email Etiquette

Here are some general points to keep in mind when sending emails.

• Include a clear, direct subject line (e.g., "Submission of Newcomers' Assignment (Your Name)").
• Choose an appropriate salutation. If you’re contacting someone for the first time or if they are a professional acquaintance, use a formal greeting like “Dear Prof./Dr. ***.”
• Include a signature block.
• Respond in a timely fashion.
• If you are sending a draft of a paper or thesis, include your name and date in the file name of the attached file.
  　→ Faculty members receive a huge number of drafts in the dissertation season. If they receive a file with only "master's thesis.pdf", they cannot manage it.
