Slick 3.2.0 was released today, and we've update Essential Slick. For now we've used the new profile imports, and made some other smaller changes to avoid calling deprecated methods. In future updates we'll revise chapters to make use of new features, such as mapTo. Use the link below this message to download the updated book. Thanks for supporting Essential Slick. Hello.

An update is available for Essential Slick (for Slick 3.1.1).

In some ways it is a small change (typos have been fixed, the page size has changed, some examples simplified). However it's a big change in that almost all the code in the book is now compiled and run with the wonderful Tut tool (https://github.com/tpolecat/tut). This should make it easier, faster, and safer for us to update the book when the next version of Slick is available.

We have removed the appendix on Slick and Play.

As usual, and feedback you have, please feel free to email us: hello@underscore.io
