Instructions

  1. Download & install git scm: https://git-scm.com/downloads
  2. Download & install Qt 5.6 MSVC 64 bit: https://www.qt.io/download/
    • Do a custom install. Make sure you have the msvc2015 64-bit. All other builds of Qt are unnecessary. Also, select Qt WebView and Qt WebEngine.
  3. Download & install Visual Studio 2015 (MSVC 14.0): https://www.visualstudio.com/vs/older-downloads/
    • Do a custom install and make sure all C++ 64 bit options are selected
  4. Download the test images from links above
  5. Go to the folder you want to clone this project into. Right click and select "Git Bash Here"
    • Enter in the git bash:
    git clone https://github.com/utat-uav/Software.git
    
  6. Download these missing files (libraries) and put them in the Classification folders: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B18NSvy37OQ4VGZfWmxsTU5IUkE?usp=sharing
  7. Open the Software/Classification/SoftmaxRegression.sln file in Visual Studio 2013
    • Configure the project for 64 bit (x64) in release mode
    • Make sure the compiler kit is correct
    • Build and run
  8. Open the Software/CVInterface.pro file with Qt
    • Configure the project to use the MSVC 64 bit kit
    • Switch to Release mode
    • Turn off shadow build under project configurations
    • Build and run

Rules & Style

  • Try not to commit non-source code
  • Try not to commit files/code that is specific to your computer
  • Curly brackets go under the function name.
  • Curly brackets also go under for, if, while, do, switch,...
  • No magic numbers
  • Use enums or defines for neatness
