Vanjaro Platform includes a minimal copy of DNN for optimized and seamless UX.

What is a minimal copy of DNN?

A minimal copy of DNN is simply the DNN Install Package from which all optional extensions are removed that are no longer needed in Vanjaro. These extensions include core modules, libraries such as Telerik, KnockoutJS, and so on. A simple batch file automates this process.

Vanjaro includes a replacement for most DNN features such as Users, Roles, & Assets Management. The following features are currently not available in Vanjaro:

  • Journal
  • Social Groups
  • Member Directory

This is not a comprehensive list and will be continuously updated.

How to upgrade Vanjaro Platform?

It's strongly recommended that you backup your entire site prior to performing an upgrade. Make sure both the website files and database is backed up.

  1. Download the latest release of Vanjaro_Platform_x.x.x_Upgrade.zip
  2. Extract the contents of the Upgrade package into a folder on your computer
  3. Copy the files from the extracted package directly over your website
  4. Upgrade your site by browsing to https://www.yoursite.com/install/upgrade.aspx
