Installation

The easiest way to install the program on a Linux machine is using the provided linux_install.sh script. To run the script, type ./linux_install.sh in the terminal.

The easiest way to install the program on a Windows machine is using the provided windows_install.py script. To run the script, type python windows_install.py in the terminal.

Running the program binary

To run the GUI program, double click on the SMS icon on the desktop.

To run the CLI program, enter sms on the terminal followed by one of the following arguments.

A short description of each argument has been provided here and can also be accessed using sms --help.

    --summary
      Display a summary of System usage data

    --cpu
      Display detailed CPU usage data

    --memory
      Display detailed Memory usage data

    --process
      Display detailed Process usage data

    --storage
      Display detailed Storage usage data

    --network
      Display detailed Network usage data

    --misc
      Display Miscellaneous usage data

    --show-limit
      Display notification limits

    --update-limit
      Update notification limits

    --show-email
      Display saved name and email address

    --update-email

    --update-password
      Modify administrator password

    --send-email
      Send email to saved email address

    --down-report

    --start-monitoring

    --gui
      Opens GUI application

    -S
