Weekly report 3

Week 3 (June 22)

1. Status of your project.

About 60 % of the project has been done. The project will be completed within the next 7 to 8 days.

2. Plan of Action for last week’s work.

We are trying to fine tune the algorithm, optimise the code and integrate various sections with system commands.

3. How much work is left to be done on your project?

In the last week we wish to integrate various sections of the project and combine it with terminal(shell) programming. Finally few bugs associated with the code have also to be eliminated.

4. Purchases Done

None. It's a coding project.

5. Problems faced with respect to project work in the week.

We had memory corruption error during running of the program which we yet have to debug, and 'Segmentation Faults' that keep popping up.

6. Contribution made by each team member in the week.

• Aamod Kore and S S Kausik : Coding for gesture identification with sample images.
• Kshitij Singh : Studied shell scripting for final sending of commands.
• Nisheeth Lahoti : Coding for gesture input from webcam.

7. Feedback about mentors.

He has been very helpful for installing the initial setup for the project and promptly helped us with the project whenever needed.

8. Progress on the designing of A1 size poster and video about the project.

Not started yet.
