This page is trying to mention the most common thing we do when installing software.
We often use scripts to run Blender and After effects renders. In order to have them work for everybody on any computer, it is heavily recommended to set up the Path environment variable for your latest Blender version, and Ae support tools.
Note: I have needed to restart the computer to make these work. Note2: You will want to keep these up to date, like when you update Blender or After effects. Unless you uninstall the old versions it would probably keep working, but you know how it is...
After having this set up, if you launch command line, you should be able to:
- type "blender" to open blender
- type "aerender" to open after effects' rendering
- type "python" to run python (Python already has an option to have it add itself to the Path variable, but if you haven't ticked that, you can still fix it manually the same way as you have to set up Blender and Ae)
