This programme will provide the following services for Synote. But it could also been used by other applications through the apis provided by this service
Generate thumbnail pictures for video resources. All the resources will be accessible through URL on the server.
- RESTful APIs to generate thumbnail pictures from online multimedia resources, including video resources from YouTube
- Host the thumbnail pictures
- RESTful APIs get the metadata of the audio or video resources, YouTube and Dailymotion video
- RESTful APIs get the duration of the audio or video resources, YouTube and Dailymotion video
- RESTful APIs to get if a resource is video or audio
Get captions from YouTube and Dailymotion
- Given the YouTube and Dailymotion URL, we will automatically download the English subtitle for you in srt format
- We can convert the srt format into json, so that you can easily visualize it on the client side.
Media Fragment and Linked Data
- Extracting named entities from srt timed-text file using different extraction tools and hamonized by [NERD] [http://nerd.eurecom.fr]
- Align named entities with media fragments and publish it as a RDF model in ttl format.
