Amara 2.0. Amara XML toolkit is an open-source collection of Python tools for XML processing, not just tools that happen to be written in Python, but tools built from the ground up to use Python idioms and take advantage of the many advantages of Python over other programming languages.

Amara XML Toolkit 2.0.0a6 (released 14 August 2011) =================================================== A library for XML processing in Python, designed to balance the native idioms of Python with the native character of XML. http://wiki.xml3k.org/Amara2 Amara 2.0 is part of Akara 2.0, an overall data processing platform that replaces 4Suite. http://wiki.xml3k.org/Akara License ------- Amara is open source, provided under the Apache 2.0 license. See the files LICENSE and NOTICE for details. Installation ------------ Amara requires Python 2.5, 2.6 or 2.7. It supports distribute and pip so you can just do the following: pip install amara You can also just download a package and do the usual: python setup.py install Or use a Windows or other platform-specific installer. Documentation ------------- Eventually most distributions/binary packages will allow you to install documentation, but for now consult the wiki, starting at http://wiki.xml3k.org/Amara
