Jhaturanga is an advanced chess game.
It lets you play more than 10 different chess variants(including the classic mode), it also features some famous chess problems and a multiplayer game mode.
Jhaturanga automatically saves your match when it's over.
To get a local copy up and running follow these simple steps.
You'll need to have the standard JDK installed on your machine and a version of Java not older than the 8.0
- Install the official released version of Jhaturanga from here
- Once the Jar is installed on your machine, execute
java -jar 'nameOfJarFileDownloaded.jar'
from the installation directory from a terminal. - Jhaturanga should be up and running.
Playing and using Jhaturanga is fairly simple and intuitive
- Improving the multiplayer mode.
