How to update to a newer version.

How to update your user preferences. (about:config page)

ℹ️ When a New Version of FF Ultima releases, you may notice in the change-log that there are new settings added to the theme.

ℹ️ In such a case, you'll need to update your own about:config page, to get these new settings. That's where the user.js comes in. You can use the updated user.js file that is inside of the chrome folder to retrieve new settings.

The method is the same as installing the theme for the first time:

1. Move the user.js to your Profile Folder
2. Restart Firefox
3. Delete the user.js file once firefox is restarted.
4. Now you have the new preferences.

⚠️ But doing this will also reset your other theme settings. Luckily there is another way. You can add the new settings to the about:config page manually, which will leave your other theme settings untouched.

To add new settings manually:

1. Type about:config in your URL bar
2. Type the new preferences from the change-log that you want to add to your theme
3. Then press the + button to enable them.
4. You can also disable the setting right away if you dont plan on using it yet.
