Command line Parameters
Here is a list of parameters that may be entered on the command-line when loading DOOM Retro.
–autoload[dir] folder |
Specifies where files are automatically loaded from. |
–blockmap |
Rebuilds the blockmap of every map. |
–cdrom |
Shows a CD-ROM rather than a floppy disk when the r_diskicon CVAR is on . |
–config filename.cfg |
Loads a configuration file. |
–deh|bex filename.deh|bex |
Loads a DeHackEd or DeHackEd with BOOM extensions file. |
–dog |
Spawns an MBF-compatible helper dog at the start of the game. |
–dogs dogs |
Spawns up to 8 MBF-compatible helper dogs at the start of the game. |
–episode episode |
Autostarts a game in a specific DOOM episode. |
–expansion expansion |
Autostarts a game in a specific DOOM II expansion. |
–fast[monsters] |
Enables fast monsters. |
–file filename[.wad] |
Loads a PWAD. |
–iwad filename[.wad] |
Loads an IWAD. |
–loadgame savegame |
Autostarts a game by loading a specific savegame. |
–noautoload |
Disables automatically loading files from the autoload folder. |
–nodeh|nobex |
Disables loading DEHACKED lumps. |
–nomapinfo |
Disables loading MAPINFO lumps. |
–nomonsters |
Disables monsters. |
–nomusic |
Disables music. |
–nosfx |
Disables sound effects. |
–nosound |
Disables music and sound effects. |
–pistolstart |
Forces the player to start each map with 100% health, no armor, and only a pistol with 50 bullets. |
–respawn[monsters] |
Enables respawning monsters. |
–save[dir] folder |
Specifies where savegames are saved and loaded. |
–shot[dir] folder |
Specifies where screenshots are saved. |
–skill[level] skilllevel |
Autostarts a game on a specific skill level. |
–solo[-]net |
Enables things usually intended for multiplayer to spawn at the start of each map, and for the player to respawn without the map restarting if they die. |
–timer minutes |
Specifies a time limit on each map. |
–turbo speed |
Changes the speed of the player. |
–warp ExMy|MAPxy |
Autostarts a game in a specific map. |
