- Open the GUI of Wave_clus, typing
wave_clus
at the MATLAB command prompt.
- (Optional) Edit the parameters with the Set_parameter button.
- Press Load and select the raw data. Read the Input Files section in this document.
- (Optional) Explore the clusters at different temperatures (you will select a minimun cluster size with the same click). Remember to fix clear classes before move to another temperature. In the temperatures plot, a cross symbol (‘x’) will be shown on the clusters already analysed, the cluster not selected have some of their spikes in one of the selected cluster at higher temperature. A grey zone it can be present as well, identifying the temperatures outside the super-paramagnetic regime according the algorithm (See figure below).
- (Optional) Select spikes manually to create new classes.
- (Optional) Merge split classes (select classes with fix button and press Merge).
- Force the rest of the spikes.
- Remove non-spike events from classes, selecting them manually and rejecting the new class.
- Press Save to save the current result.
