1. Basic corrections

Remove samples

• Out of range T and S samples
• Incomplete samples (P,T,S must be present)

Remove profiles that do not fit the criteria

• Out of box
• Shallower than 900 dbar
• Non monotonically increasing pressure (indicates that more than one cast is stored in one profile)

If the box has a large number of profiles (n>10000), excludes all profiles older than 1995 (up to now this led to no deletions)

This is done using the function box_basic_corr.m The script a1_basic_corr goes through all boxes in each region and stores the outputs.
