Summary of the deleted profiles

Considering all the boxes (except Med and Black Seas) the interim CTD-RDB 2020v1 had a total of 169689 profile, from which 31693 (18,7%) were excluded. From those, 664 (0,4% of the total) were bad profiles (see 1. Basic corrections) and 31029 (18,29% of the total) were duplicated profiles. The duplicated profiles that were deleted were identified because they were:
- Exact metadata duplicates: 8067 (4,75% of the total) - see 2. Remove exact metadata duplicates
- Content duplicates: 21075 (12,42% of the total) - see 3. Remove content duplicates
- Nearby duplicates: 1887 (1,11% of the total) - see 4. Remove near metadata (nearby) duplicate
