Welcome to the Global Phasing Abstract Beamline Interface wiki

The purpose of this wiki is to explain more about the Abstract Beamline Interface. In particular:

  • to discuss the kind of experimental protocols that it is designed to support

  • to provide more detail about its features

  • to explain some of the decisions that have been made in its design

The intended audience is anyone who has an interest in software development related to the design or implementation of MX experiments, in particular those who don’t have a background in the science involved. Please contact us by opening an issue or e-mailing proc-develop (at) globalphasing (dot) com if:

  • anything on this wiki or in the Abstract Beamline Interface itself is unclear or incorrect

  • you have a suggestion for something that could be added to this wiki

  • you are connected with a synchrotron beamline but have not been discussing this subject with Global Phasing Ltd., and you would like to know more.

These pages contain simplifications and omissions. They are not intended to be authoritative about the theory or practice of crystallography, nor to be used as a learning aid for practicing or aspiring crystallographers: please use purpose-written teaching resources and the peer-reviewed literature for that.
