Vagrantfile sets up an ubuntu 12.04 with: * trusty backported kernel 3.13. * Protobuf from github * Gflags from github * re2 from googlecode * apparmor from ubuntu packages * g++ Version 4.7 from ubuntu-toolchan-r/test PPA * golang from ubuntu packages Vagrant then compiles lmctfy, tests it's installed and reboots into the newer kernel

On my os/arch/machine:
$ uname -a

$ lsb_release -a

I have problem with awk below pattern:
My solution it's:
$ lscpu
Architektura: x86_64
Tryb(y) pracy CPU: 32-bit, 64-bit
Kolejność bajtów: Little Endian
CPU: 8
...
$ lscpu | awk '/^CPU:/ {print $2}'
8
Maybe you should correct this.

Another simple way to get CPUs:
$ egrep -c '(vmx|svm)' /proc/cpuinfo
8
