Welcome to the PhyloNetwork software workshop! This site has material for the software workshop held at the Evolution 2016 conference.
Topics covered:
-
Part 1: From multiple alignments to a phylogenetic network
- TICR pipeline overview
- network estimation in PhyloNetworks
-
Part 2: Network uncertainty
- 3-minute review of Part 1 (e.g. type of input data)
- selection of the number of reticulations
- bootstrap support for tree edges and for hybridizations
- TICR test: testing ILS on a tree
It would be best for people to attend both parts, but participants could still benefit from part 2 if they don't come to part 1, provided that they plan to follow along the demo on the screen and participate in discussions. Running analyses on their own laptop would be challenging without time for software installation and basics on networks (covered in part 1).

- PhyloNetworks: from quartet CFs or gene trees to phylogenetic networks
- TICR test: is a population tree with ILS sufficient (vs network)?
