The following document provides outstanding and answered questions that are identified during requirements gathering.

Questions/Answers

Medium What is required from LDAP? | Share Friends feature. Allows direct users to share content quickly between each other. Currently not working due to expired password despite the fact we were promised a non-expiring IDIR account.

High Need connection information for each data source. See document here | Rob C will provide complete list later this week.

Medium Do any users need Single Sign On (SSO) with IDIR or BCeID? | internal users are able to login with IDIR. External users currently use custom accounts.

Low Can users login with a 3rd party provider account (Google, Hotmail, etc)? | No.

High What other editing processes are performed on audio and video (other than trim and join)? | As demonstrated, create new files with content from large, raw recording, join multiple files together, import recordings from other devices such as Zoom H1n handheld recorder, import files from Quicktime Broadcaster of media conference calls.

High How are the recipients of reports and messages managed? | Internally. Lists are held in either TNO application or GAL. Exported and assembled in January for February bills to be sent out. Will both desktop and device-friendly versions of reports be necessary after the upgrade?

Low Is spell checking and other text editing features required in the web application? | Spell checking would be a benefit to editors and some clients.

Low If a story is republished with edits or additional information, how are users notified? | If we feel the change is significant we can re-alert or re-top story the item.

Low Is there a need to limit what content is visible to certain subscribers? | Yes, The S&S section of the website is not available to certain accounts and the reports and alerts generated by those accounts.

Low When content licenses expire, what can be retained, and what should be retained? For Print or text nothing. Currently for broadcast we can retain the headline and summary. We must have the option to delete or retain any and all of this content by Source name.

Low Is there a need to identify when content was expired for the purpose of auditing? No - providing it is done correctly.

Medium What does a "Tone" mean and what impact does it have in the solution? Tone is a sentiment value assigned to most items in TNO. It is currently assigned by editors but that may become automated. The tone score is visible on the site, in reports and impacts media analysis.

High How many videos/audio files are imported/transcribed each day? Do we know the average file size?

We posted 357 broadcast items yesterday. 84 TV, 82 Talk, 190 news radio, 1 event, 1 live event. Regarding transcripts: 41 TV, 19 Talk, 189 news radio, 1 event. Average durations: TV 02:17 minutes, Talk 14:26 minutes, news radio 00:56 minutes, event 01:16:03 hours. Based on a week's posting, TNO posts on average, per day; 95 TV items with 41 transcribed, 71 Talk items with 27 transcribed, 99 News Radio items with 93 transcribed, 2 Live events with both transcribed, Average file size: TV - 63777K, Talk - 30228K, Radio News - 910K, Live event - 52.4MB

High What other requirements are associated with licencing of content? When content must be purged, etc.? | Tje TNO login page must have this phrase displayed:
