Organisers

The organisers team is a number of people who have volunteered to keep DoES Liverpool running smoothly. More general information is available on the People page, this page lists some of the things these people are expected to do.

We generally aim to have at least one Organiser in the space during "Business Hours". They will need to carry out the tasks on the Day to Day section of the "Running the Space" page.

The following is a general list of tasks that Organisers do:

A DoES Liverpool Organiser MAY:

• Respond to hello@doesliverpool.com emails
  • This requires an account on the SupportBee CRM system
• Answer the phone to visitors/enquiries (more often than typical members)
• Be on the organisers private mailing list
• Be on the organisers WhatsApp group
• Be able to accept card payments
• Have access to the bank account
• Have access to the FreeAgent accounting system
• Be responsible for opening and closing the space
• Post updates to the DoES Liverpool website and social media accounts
• Supervise community events
• Supervise Maker Night / Maker Day
• Be in the organiser group on GitHub

While we don't expect that everyone within this group must do everything on the list, we do depend on people doing the things that they've volunteered for. Also just because something is on this list it doesn't mean you have to be an organiser to do them. Helping out with opening up the space and supervising events is always welcome!

Things that Organisers have access to

Not all organisers will have access to all of the things on this list.

• Secret passwords
• Cash box
• FreeAgent - accounting system
• DropBox share
• DoES Liverpool Google GSuite setup
• DoES Liverpool website
• DoES Liverpool calendars
• Doorbot config and shell access
• VOIP setup

(Some of these things are simply covered by having access to the passwords but some people are more comfortable than others to access and modify the resources)
