New Actions:

  • IB Organise a discussion between Andre, Mark, Ioannis & Matteo on how to properly solve RP #1190 and related issues re: pre-exec
  • MM Create a PR for the new pytest version of the example scripts

Current Actions:

  • MM + MT Report back on status on jenkins test setup
  • IB Follow up with AT re long-running action below
  • MT Clarify the exact use-cases for GPU support needed by the Princeton collaboration
  • AM Test to see if current feature/gpu branch works on Titan.
  • AT Open a ticket for documentation to be provided on how to compile up applications correctly for use with ORTE deployments of RP.
  • AM + MT: Plan to fix and test radical-analytics issue RA #31

Active issues:

0.46:

  • Release date planned for 2017-04-28

Any Other Business:

  • Manuel reported that Jenkins is now set up to run automated tests (and report pass/fail) for PRs where the phrase "test this please" is included in comments. Currently working on converting example scripts to pyunit tests with defined pass/fail assertions, rather than relying on user inspection.

  • GPU support (RP & SAGA branch feature/gpu) now consists of the ability to specify a number of GPUs for a pilot, but no way to define per-CU requirements for GPUs or schedule based on them. This appears to be enough (so far as we know) to support the needs of the Princeton (SPECFEM3D) and Berlin (MD) collaborations, and they should now test and give feedback on the implementation, leading to requirements for further GPU-related developments (for the release following 0.46). In particular, Titan should now be useable (although not yet tested with a real application)

  • Matteo flagged up RA #22 which is in-scope for the 0.46 release.

  • Ming mentioned RP #1276 which is blocking use of XSEDE machines for him - needs to provide a script to recreate so Andre can investigate.
